Tinted sliding glass doors open onto the upstairs terrace. The teak five piece bedroom suite is custom made. The king size bed has four storage drawers underneath. The walk-in closet provides additional space, with shelves above clothes racks on both sides. Access to the attic is in the closet. The sitting area has large windows on both the side and front. The 2 meter wide side window provides a view of the back yard. The 2.5 meter front window provides a view over the pool and across the valley. Cross ventilation keeps the room cool. The four piece rattan set is very comfortable. The master bathroom features a contoured tub with the same gold trimmed taps and fittings used in other bathrooms throughout the house. Central hot water goes to wash basins as well as to tubs and showers. The space under the wash basin counter is finished and tiled behind louvered teak doors. The floor of the cabinet has been elevated with poured concrete so there is no dead space to breed insects. There is also a broom closet, with valves to open a 500 liter water supply above the ceiling as a back-up water supply in case of power failure. This is convenient if having a shower at the time. |
